WEISS/MANFREDI is a design firm at the forefront of architectural design practices that are redefining the relationships between landscape, architecture, infrastructure, and art. We are currently seeking a Studio Manager to support our team. The ideal candidate should have administrative experience, strong interpersonal skills, strong spoken and written communication skills, graphic skills, organizational skills, flexibility to work simultaneously on a broad range of tasks,

and an interest in building community within a team environment. A bachelor’s degree is required. One year plus experience in a studio environment is preferred as is an interest in the operation of a design-driven architectural practice. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Excel required. Opportunity to work on marketing-related tasks including social media if these align with your skills and interests.

WEISS/MANFREDI is working both remotely and in the studio during COVID-19. As our organization adapts to this unprecedented working process, the Studio Manager will be required to work in the studio an average of two days per week, while supporting operations remotely on other days. This requirement is evolving on a monthly basis depending on current health protocols.  Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability will be valued as we look ahead to operational strategies for both remote work and a return to office when the situation permits.

Duties include:

  • coordinate and support day-to-day office operations
  • maintain an organized studio space and coordinate cleaning service vendor
  • manage vendors for supplies, office equipment, and professional services
  • coordinate office service requests and inspections with building management
  • research and implement studio improvements and routine maintenance
  • coordinate and plan firm events including client meetings and presentations, office meetings and parties, lectures, as well as lunch and learns
  • maintain and edit employee handbooks and community support frameworks, on board new team members
  • support communications related to employee health insurance and 401K benefits
  • coordinate domestic and international travel agent and support flight, hotel, and car rental reservations
  • provide general administrative support to senior staff and office
  • write and edit business correspondence
  • design and edit print and digital presentations in InDesign and PowerPoint
  • potential to provide communications and public relations support
