WAKE is seeking to hire two motivated and talented designers experienced in Visual Graphics, Rendering, REVIT and 3D modeling for a temporary, short-term internship. The intership positions would be 30-40hrs a week for 2-3 months.  You'd be working on small to large size creative, design & technical projects ranging from feasibility studies for affordable housing developments (100+ units), to vacation homes in Maine, restaurants in D.C. and the BK Navy Yards, 10,000+ office fit-outs, DOB violation removals, and ground up construction in NYC. 

The primary role of the selected candidate will vary in size and scope, but will mainly consist of assisting the principal and project managers in the company through design tasks, including but not limited to: CAD drafting, producing marketing material, 3D modeling, graphic design renderings & visualization 

Ideally, the candidate will have a degree/background in architecture, interior design, and drafting, with 1+ year(s) of professional experience in NYC. 

Enrolled students currently in architecture or interior design programs without professional experience will be considered on the basis of their technical and design proficiency. 

Top candidates should possess the following skills: Ability to work under the direction of the principal or project managers with little supervision. Ability to take creative direction and apply feedback in an effective manner. Comfortable with working independently in a growing office (we are 2yrs old and very much in the early stages of the companies growth) Comfortable contributing to a growing office’s culture. Strong 3D modeling, and rendering skills to support the team in deliverable and packages. Excellent written and verbal communications skills Motivated Software requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite. Highly Proficient in Rhino, and Revit is a must.

General requirements: Live in NYC and have availability to work out of the office, full-time, during the short-term contract.
