Bade Stageberg Cox is an award-winning architecture firm of 10 professionals based in New York City. The firm is organized as a collaborative studio environment, and is involved in a wide range of scales and project types including residential, cultural and institutional.

We are seeking a talented project architect with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in new construction residential projects, and a thorough understanding of all project phases with an emphasis on construction documents.

As a project architect, you will help develop creative design solutions, manage projects through all phases of design and construction, and oversee and mentor junior staff. You will work closely with the firm’s principals, and be instrumental in defining and implementing office standards and protocols.

  • Efficiently lead project team members
  • Coordinate between various team members and consultants (Architectural, code, engineering, building systems, etc.)
  • Oversee site surveys and documentation of existing conditions as required
  • Produce and develop drawings from schematic idea to technical details
  • Generate and maintain organization of drawing sets
  • Organize and attend site meetings with various project team members
  • Masters of Architecture or a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree
  • Proficiency in CAD, 3D computer modeling, rendering technique, and illustration/diagramming
  • Experience in new construction residential projects
  • Applicant must have a proven track record of directing projects from conceptual design through construction administration, and be skilled at technical detailing and construction documents
  • Serve as primary point of contact between consultant and team members
  • Familiarity with DoB filing process, code research, zoning analysis, and securing approvals from LPC, DOB, Community Board, PDC etc.
