Junior Architectural DesignerLocation: Brooklyn, NY (On-site)
ALAO (pronounced "allow") is seeking a Junior Designer to join our team in our Brooklyn office. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for both architecture and interior design, who can demonstrate a strong interest and proficiency in both fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the design and documentation process.
Prepare presentation drawings and material boards
Assist in the production of technical drawings and construction documents.
Attend project meetings, take and organize meeting minutes, and support construction contract administration tasks.
Coordinate with team, vendors/suppliers, contractors, and others to support project success.
Manage individual deliverables and workflow within the firm’s project schedules and communicate effectively about that schedule within the design team.
Qualifications:
Professional degree in Architecture.
1-5 years of professional architecture experience.
Strong Design and Digital Design Skills
Proficiency in ArchiCAD (required for drafting, modeling, and design development).
Experience with technical detailing and knowledge of construction processes
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Legal Authorization to work in the US
Salary: Salary range commensurate with experience and education per AIA Compensation Salary Survey. (Range $55,000-$75,000)
