Internationally recognized architectural firm is searching for an Assistant IT Manager to support our existing Information Technology Manager. Our firm has 150 employees with its primary office in New York City, and project offices in California, Illinois, Argentina and the United Kingdom. Following is a detailed description of required skills and responsibilities.

Desktop Support / Level 1


- Provide first level of support and complete management of computer workstation and peripheries inventory;

- computer provisioning (Windows and MAC OS), provisioning and deployment tools, application installation and removal

- OS and Application Patching, Compliance

- user onboarding and offboarding, user seating and relocation

- printer installation and management, printing support including large format plotters

- wireless support and basic configuration

- phones and basic phone support and configuration

- Windows and MAC OS basic applications support, MS Office and Outlook with Office 365 support and basic administration

- basil cell phone support

- Active Directory User Management

- NTFS Permissions and Project Data Access Management

- Office 365 User Administration

- Adobe CC User Administration

- Autodesk User Administration

- laptops, projectors and other equipment check-in/check-out

- Virtual Desktop Support, Vmware Horizon View

- VPN basic support and configuration

- AntiVirus and Endpoint Protection – deployment and administration

- Spam Filtering basic support

- conference room meetings and presentation assistance (in-person)

- teleconference, web conference (WebEx, GoToMeeting, Skype for Business) support and assistance

- misc supplies ordering, order preparation and processing

- support across different locations and time zones

- basic cabling needs


- great communication and customer service skills

- familiarity with industry standard support ticketing system, ITSM

- previous architectural firm experience

- knowledge of workstation hardware and performance metrics applicable to AEC industry

- MS Windows, MAC OS, MS Office and Office 365

- Ivanti (former LANDesk) Management Suite, Agent Configuration, inventory management, patching and patch management, querying and reporting, application deployment and removal, batch processing

- familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino and other design applications

- basic NTFS, Windows Server OS, Active Directory

- basic DNS, DHCP, DFS, Print Queue configuration

- basic Windows Scripting

- understanding of User Roaming, Vmware UEM

- basic Vmware Horizon View

- remote management and remote control applications and protocols, RDP, VNC, others

- Autodesk Applications Deployment

- Adobe Creative Cloud Deployment

- MS Office with Office 365 Deployment

- familiarity with industry standard monitoring tools, Ipswitch WhatsUp

- Fortinet FortiClient and EMS
