As a Contract Coordinator / Paralegal you will be part of our legal team, providing direct support to our Contracts Manager on administrative and legal matters.  You will be responsible for assisting the legal team with contract reviews and preparation, contract file organization and management, and will work in close collaboration with the architecture teams.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including excellent proofreading skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and proactive in completing tasks with a sense of urgency, capable of multi-tasking responsibilities that often vary in scale and scope;
  • Excellent communication skills, in e-mails and in person, and is fluent in spoken and written English;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with the highest professionalism, flexible attitude and open to working in new ways;
  • Solution oriented problem-solving, analytical thinking, ability to identify next steps and consequences of events or actions and quickly evaluates whether arguments are complete and sound;
  • Self-motivation and be intuitive to the needs of your team members, providing assistance as needed;
  • Excellent computer skills with accuracy and speed, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Bachelor's Degree

Main responsibilities:

  • Contract drafting- accurate and timely preparation, review, and editing of Owner/Architect design contracts, vendor contracts, NDAs, consultant agreements, and related legal documents;
  • Contract management- maintain databases and other internal contract management systems to ensure proper documentation handling and retention, support project status handovers and updates;
  • Mitigate risk and promote internal strategies through effective negotiations;
  • Effectively communicate between different internal and external counterparts, liaising on issues and resolution times, and contract status to maintain smooth operations;
  • Establish and maintain legal files and electronic and physical records, support day-to-day legal administration, and track key dates and deadlines;
  • Performing due diligence in reviewing and interpreting contracts to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and local laws

It would be preferred if you have:

  • Experience working in a legal environment, and/or design or construction firm;
  • Paralegal Certification
