Business Development & Administrative Coordinator

Our ideal candidate is excited about expanding the firm’s business as well as the quality and variety of client and project types.  S/he will have experience in Business Development or Marketing support role(s) in the Architecture, Engineering, Planning and Design industries, or adjacent professional service industries such as economic development, innovation or creative strategy consulting. Working directly with our leadership team, the right candidate will focus on business development through research, proactive engagement, and content creation, production, and dissemination.

 

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research into emerging markets, opportunities for business expansion, and client intelligence gathering.
  • Executive support for company Managing Director, including calendar coordination and client correspondence
  • Design, production, and delivery of professional, publication-caliber qualifications, proposal, and pitch packages.
  • Event co-creation, coordination, and execution
  • Content creation for web and social media
  • An ease with the written word and ability to assume a company “voice.”
  • Solid graphic skills and the ability to put together InDesign and/or Powerpoint decks.
  • Sophisticated “approach” skills including the ability to craft articulate emails and introduction letters as well as to initiate introductory phone calls and meeting solicitations.           
  • An intuitive ability to understand a client’s point-of-view. 
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic culture by being a great communicator and team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
  • Substantive experience in primary and secondary market research (online desk research plus interviews and initial prospect conversations) and an ability to quickly process and synthesize large volumes of information and make actionable recommendations for converting prospects into leads and opportunities.
  • Creative attitude toward developing new, proactive approaches for client prospects.
  • An innate drive for growing our business and driving awareness of the A+I brand, with a genuine passion for identifying client challenges and potential opportunities for the firm.
  • Autonomous & Self-Starting — Demonstrate ability to work proactively and take initiative to accomplish tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A passion for architecture, design, and the way good spaces can help improve our lives

Master Sommelier certification a plus, but not required.
