WE ARE a thriving, well-established technical sales rep. firm specializing in high-end acoustical products and finishes. We have been in business for 12 years and are looking to add to our team in our LOS ANGELES office.  We offer a flexible work environment and the option to work from home (after an initial training period), an energetic start-up vibe, and long-term potential for profit sharing.

YOU ARE entrepreneurial and excited by the opportunity to join a small and growing firm. You enjoy helping specifiers develop technical construction details, appreciate building and fabrication processes, are process- and detail-oriented, and are interested in architectural acoustics, architectural design, and issues of constructability.

TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Creating shop drawings for acoustically isolated wall/floor/ceiling assemblies and coordinating with our structural engineer as required.
  • Providing technical detailing support to architects, acoustical consultants, and contractors.
  • Visiting project sites to review construction progress and compliance with shop drawings.
  • Preparing detailed estimates to contractors in accordance with architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity take-offs for acoustically isolated floors and ceilings, sound-rated doors and windows, acoustical enclosures and barriers, and acoustical finishes.
  • Supporting our promotion of architectural-acoustical products to architects and acoustical consultants.
  • Tracking and managing orders from quote to sale to installation.

SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Experience with construction, construction detailing, and shop/fabrication drawing.
  • Proficient in AutoCad LT, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Quickbooks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, collaborative, self-motivated, and willing to grow with the company.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solving.

EDUCATION:
B.Arch, B.Eng, or B.Const.Mgmt. preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  
Minimum two to five years with construction, architecture, or engineering firm.
