Deborah Nevins & Associates is hiring a landscape designer or landscape architect. The candidate hired for this position will be involved in all aspects of project development and design, including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, construction documents including hardscape and planting plans, construction observation, and project administration. The position entails working closely with architects, civil engineers, and landscape architects who collaborate with our firm, as well as with the principal and other members of the design team; it may also include travel within the US.

Deborah Nevins & Associates was founded over twenty-five years ago in New York City. Known for its collaborations with some of the world’s leading architects on exceptional projects throughout the US, Europe, and the Caribbean, DNA specializes in high-end garden and landscape design for residential projects and major cultural institutions. Current projects include the campus expansion of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, with Steven Holl Architects, and large estates in the US.

Mandatory for this position:

  • Outstanding design and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and deadlines and work closely with a small team
  • 3 years' experience in landscape design/architecture office

Degree in landscape architecture (BLA or MLA) preferred, but we will also give consideration to suitable candidates with relevant experience and training in architecture and/or horticulture.
