Job Description: CO Architects is looking for a Senior Medical Planner to join our interdisciplinary and collaborative project teams. Candidate should exhibit the following skills and traits:

  • Proven Leadership on large healthcare projects
  • Proficiency in clinical processes across major inpatient and outpatient service lines
  • Ability to lead the programming and planning efforts for complex healthcare projects of all sizes
  • Work with end user to outline process flows and critical adjacencies through Lean operations techniques and workflow process mapping
  • Ability to lead the medical planning process within the design team to create department floor plan concepts reflective of operations
  • Understand and guide discussions on medical equipment needs
  • Mentor and coordinate the medical planning work of junior/intermediate medical planners
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with design teams, consultants, and clients
  • Active participation in business development and industry associations

 Job Requirements:           

  • Minimum of 8 years’ of medical planning experience with functional and operational planning on large-scale healthcare projects
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Knowledge of LEAN Principles in Healthcare
  • OSHPD Experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Professional license within the State of California preferred
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Healthcare and LEED preferred
