David Yum Architects is a small, design and research oriented firm focusing on high end residential, institutional and commercial work.  Awards include the New York AIA Honor award, the Boston Society of Architects Merit Award and the NJ AIA Merit Award.  Projects range from renovations, restoration and new residential work to commercial and institutional architecture and interiors.  The firm is also involved in interiors, furniture and product design.  Current projects include a modern addition to a historic 1898 stable and, a new house in the hills of North Carolina and, apartments in New York City.  Our website is

We are looking for an intermediate designer with 2+ years of experience.  Requirements for the position:

  • Professional degree from an accredited architecture school
  • 2-5 years of professional experience, preferably with experience in single family residential design
  • The job requires coordination and fluent written and oral correspondence with consultants, vendors and city departments
  • Rigorous and technically strong drawing and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling such as Revit and Rhino, Rendering using Maxwell or vRay, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Legally able to work in the United States
