Who we are:

We are a 30-person architectural design firm with a pet-friendly, hip workshop vibe producing a wide range of project types for private, commercial and institutional clients.                 

What we need:

An enthusiastic design professional with 3-5 year of experience seeking a role with potential to grow within our firm. The successful candidate must be professional, articulate and comfortable working in a busy architecture firm. Current pursuit of architectural licensure is desirable but not required to apply.  


  • Candidate will be expected to be familiar with the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through built reality. Participation in all phases will be expected. 
  • Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and should have 3D sketch and rendering skills, such as Sketchup, 3D SMax, VRay, along with a understanding of BIM would be a plus.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of New York City Building Codes and requirements for filing projects with the NYC Department of Buildings.
  • Candidate should have experience working within an A/E consulting team, review the work of consulting engineers and helping to coordinate their efforts with the firm’s evolving design solutions.
  • Candidates with experience working on complex building types and/or institutional projects are encouraged to apply.
  • The designer professional will work under the supervision of a Principal and/or Project Manager, and will be expected to work independently on their design assignments and supervise work of other designers and interns as required. 

Required Experience:

  • BARCH or Master Degree in Architecture
  • 3-5 years of experience with minimum of 2 years in NYC
  • Familiarity with preparing presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Working knowledge of building materials, components, and systems
  • Self-initiative when completing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate teamwork and communication skills
  • Developing problem-solving and creative abilities

Physical Demands:

While performing the job duties, the Job Captain is regularly required to speak clearly and hear conversations. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; visit construction sites, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Typical work hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, including one hour lunch break.
