Goshow Architects has an immediate need for a Construction Site Representative in the NYC/Brooklyn area.

The Site Rep will supervise the performance of construction in order to assist with maintaining schedules and staying within budget on the project.

The ideal candidate will have ten plus (10+) years of professional experience, of which five years of experience should be in the Construction Administration phase. 

The candidate must have demonstrated experience working with building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, sustainability strategies and building codes (particularly NYC code).

In addition, the candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work successfully with the contractor, responding to RFI's, reviewing shop drawings, preparing punch lists and site reports.

Site Rep Duties will include:

  1. Recommend change orders and directives from the field.
  2. Attend pre & post bid scope reviews to provide any information as needed.
  3. Conduct constructability reviews.
  4. Evaluate project drawings & schedules to optimize Owner's benefit.
  5. Assist contractor in scheduling utilities.
  6. Development of Schedules of Values.
  7. Review long lead items & purchasing of Owner furnished items with project representative.
  8. Liaison between team members, contractor, and operators.
  9. Monitor for Building Code compliance.
  10. Safety monitoring.
  11. Review/interpret special contract conditions.
  12. Ensure that procedures & materials comply with plans, specs, and approved submittals.
  13. Assist in negotiating proposed changes with Architects/Engineers/Contractors.
  14. Generate and/or review daily field reports and directive information/scope.
  15. Monitor coordination of all trades to complete project on schedule.
  16. Track and follow up on RFI's.
  17. Partner in evaluation of proposed back charges to contractors.
  18. Prepare punch list and monitor completion.
  19. Participate in the completion of contractor evaluations.
  20. Secure close out documents/attend post mortems.
  21. Work with Project Management to secure Certification of Occupancy.  


  1. 10 plus years of professional industry specific experience including construction supervision experience
  2. NY State license as an Architect 
  3. LEED BD+C preferred
  4. Working knowledge of NYC Code
  5. Working knowledge of the project management process and construction contracting
  6. Strong blueprint reading skills.
  7. Experience in various types of renovation projects.
  8. Ability to generate / forecast construction schedules.
  9. Travel required.
