• Responsible for bringing designs to market via ongoing market research, customer relationships, artisan relationships, trade shows, rapid prototyping of ideas and production management for each collection. Oversaw retail customer and wholesale accounts development. Devised creative and cost-effective in-house marketing and promotional strategies via social media tools and the creation of storefront window and in-store merchandise displays to attract customers.
• Opened JEFF (Now Gallery 1317) in 2013; a collaborative retail space and platform for fashion, architecture, furnishings and visual arts in the heart of North Beach, SF. This was a joint venture with a friend and design colleague. Together we created the business plan, negotiated the terms of the lease, designed the space, lighting fixtures, retail fixtures and actually built out the space with our own hands. We opened for business three months after signing the lease. As soon as we adopted a retail model JOD sales increased 82% 2013-2014. Three year sales forecasts indicated positive revenue growth with a break even at year 5.
• Oversaw planning and execution of daily and weekly in-store merchandising, marketing and social media. Organized and executed guest designer Pop-Up events; coordinated all aspects for featuring and promoting artists we loved.
• Cultivated marvelous relationships with guest designers, artists and neighborhood merchants to host events, increase foot traffic, generate sales, and create a positive shopping experience in North Beach. Efforts led to feature articles in the SF Chronicle, monthly North Beach Art Walk events, and collective marketing advertisements.
• Invested time, capital and travel to support Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Economic Impact projects with Women Weave Charitable Trust, MP, India (2009 – Present) https://vimeo.com/100165750

Sr. Design Manager Corporate Architecture & Construction, Gap Inc. (2001-2003)
Global Store Design Manager - Gap Brand (2000-2001)
Often described as a Gap corporate in-house entrepreneur - I lead a variety of special projects supporting reimagining brand store design experiences, optimizing store construction delivery and facilities maintenance strategies and services. Worked closely with senior leadership and colleagues at all organizational levels to explore creative solutions for informing critical cross-brand real estate portfolio decisions.
Highlights:
• 2006-2007 Business solutions and team engagement leader for a $16M capital investment initiative to develop enterprise business intelligence and agile workforce solution tool that would streamline the organization and sharing of critical brand and real estate portfolio information across business functions. We estimated a ~$75M ROI over seven-year period.
• Influenced evaluation and selection of BPM technology; directed research and partnerships across GAP Inc. to define and shape project mobilization and change management efforts for successful adoption of this enterprise tool.
• 2001-2004 championed creative design solution and implementation of shared web interface for Gap Inc. Corporate Architecture and Construction. This work resulted in a centralized model and tool to managing multiple information sources/data for business partner involved in acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance of Gap Inc. brand stores worldwide. Directed cross-functional RE and IT teams to provide ongoing education for adopting technology tools to manage and leverage company data.
• 2000-2001 results: On-time and on-budget brand store openings through close collaboration and clear communication with store operations, brand marketing, visual merchandising, real estate, legal, and procurement teams, along with Gap store development teams in Japan and Europe.
• 2005: Recognized for significant contributions to community service projects and earned President’s Award nomination for employee excellence in building awareness, communication and team work across business functions.
