The VA medical hospital expansion is a LEED-Gold project in Colorado.  This conceptual idea centers on the main concourse, which acts as a spine with several "fingers" that branch off the public enclosure to the separate inpatient, outpatient, research, and other hospital buildings.  Landscaped courtyards between the buildings perform sustainably, functionally, and aesthetically.
