This project consisted of a redesign of the Arthouse, a contemporary art museum that exhibits the work of new artists and provides studio space for residency students.

Located in the historic urban context of downtown Austin, TX, along Congress Avenue, the 4-level building emphasized integrating the public and outdoor public space with the galleries by creating several garden community niches along one side of the building and using a mechanical louvered "garage" storefront which could completely open up the entrance to the street.
