The idea of this project was to turn the Lower East Side to a more sustainable neighborhood. I proposed to turn all the unused green spaces between houses into community gardens and to use all the rooftops for greenhouses and also introduce vertical garden housing to infill the free spaces on LES. The goal was "local salads for everyone". Because the LES had so many homeless in the streets I proposed to teach them how to garden and to employ them in those community gardens.
