The comprehensive studio is to build a charter high school at Lincoln Heights, a site adjacent to the culturally diverse
communities in downtown Los Angeles. Meanwhile, it is also the gateway from the historic city center to suburban valley areas, situated at the intersection of major freeways and Los Angeles River. This high school project aims to enhance interactive communication and demographic stability of local society which is mainly composed of foreign immigrants. It intends to elevate education level of young people by providing them with alternative choices in fine arts and career building. LOOP metaphors continuous and flexible articulating experience inside and outside the school, a built environment integrated into local contexts.
