Symbiosis Circus is planned on the east bank of Hudson River in Manhattan, next to the new Whitney Museum. The design seeks to further animate circus performance and dramatize the fun of interaction, through multiplication of several focal points for the audience, and creation of circulation to be shared between both performers and audience. The ground level will feature the history and equipments of circus performance, and the concourse level will allow audience to interact with performers of “casual acts”. The main performance hall provides pathways and ramps so that the spectators are encouraged to move around to engage in the show they are interested in.
