Situated in southwestern China,the Dali Museum
aims to recreate the urban experience in primitive
villages in the region, through the use of elements
such as courtyards, pathways, and plazas that
adapt themselves to the existing topography. The
museum will not only display conventional art objects,
but also celebrate other forms of media, taking
the visitors through various lighting experience.
The site is next to a Tang Dynasty pagoda and a
small temple. The museum serves as a platform
to enliven the currently abandoned pagoda park.
