v ray for rhino

vflash778

i'm an architecture student who wants to get better at using v-ray for rhino . could someone recommend a book or two, that i could purchase that teaches v-ray? I do all of my designing on rhino so i would prefer that the book talks specifically to the rhino version of v-ray .

Thank you

Hello, V-ray in general has the same features no matter what software you are using for 3D, be it Cinema 4D, Rhino, 3Ds Max,etc.

The Rhino version is the less developed one so you won't always get the cool thins that the 3Ds Max version has. That being said your focus should be to lookup V-ray tutorials, no matter the 3D software, since most of them are the same.

Here are some websites that sell video tutorials, in case you want to learn:

http://www.digitaltutors.com/software/V-Ray-tutorials

http://www.evermotion.org/modelshop/show_product/the-archviz-training-dvd/6475/0/0/

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/1022/V-Ray-Fundamentals%3A-Materials%2C-Lights-and-Linear-Workflow#.U3V24fmSyuA

However there are quite a few youtube videos out there that will teach you how to use V-Ray, as well as a ton of articles.

https://www.youtube.com/user/theckmca/playlists is a great source for rhino vray. I know that Novedge (http://www.novedge.com/webinarseries/default.asp) has a few rhino-vray tutorials but they are more about showing new features rather than walking you through setting up, but still very good stuff to know.
