How to Search for a Job when IT Architecture is the only thing that appears?

many19

If anyone can give me some suggestions on how to weed out all those IT positions that pop up when we search for jobs on any Job search engine.
Weather you type "architecture designer" or "intern" or even just "designer" IT jobs pop in there too.
Any advice. or places to go too.
Thank you

Paradox

Switch to IT and you won't have that problem anymore or just stick to archinect posts..aerotek is another option.

You might try using boolean search terms. For example, if you go to monster.com and search for

architect NOT process NOT initiate NOT information NOT web NOT IT NOT software NOT systems NOT solutions NOT data

you will filter your search results somewhat. It's not ideal, but it does filter out some of the junk.

Also stick to the jobs section of architecture websites such as archinect or dezeen or even architizer(although they copy-past archinect jobs most of the time)

You can search for items that are commonly inserted into job postings by architecture firms.

For instance :

BIM
Revit
LEED AP
Sketchup
B. Arch
M. Arch
Construction Documents
Design Development

etc. etc...

^ Half of those keys words make me cringe.

Perhaps the reason you can't find the architecture jobs isn't because the job board is crammed with IT jobs but maybe it's because there aren't any architecture jobs to find.
