haha I would say leys-cause or lehs-cause. Shays would make sense if it the c had one of those little swooshes (cedilla). But since that last name is more Swiss than French, I'm going to have to go with leh (leh (very short e)) skAzs. Not sure if the a is pronounces like lays or laws.
