I would suggest taking out that guy w/ the speech balloon. I agree it's a little busy--appearing perhaps that you're trying to compensate for design work that is underdeveloped.
some of it is yes. The thesis in particular addressed three different building scales....it was a big project to take on and I didn't get into as much detail (construction) as I would have liked.

without looking at it to hard, i would say its really nice. very clean, and a good amount of white space.

I don't think it's busy. Perhaps aligning the photographs on "The Journey" horizontally?
It is a nice mix of hand craft and digital.
