I've hit a wall of frustration....here I am finally doing my post grad and I'm lost to why I'm here. Not that I don't want to be but I'm having difficulty committing to what inspires me with architecture. The latest brief I've been given asks to incorporate parametric design into my concept of what a canopy is.....
now after research and a finally conclusion I'm pretty sure I failed the parametric part but I'm trying to bring it all back together with my 'interest.' If I some how incorporate it with my definition of a canopy and it's collecting system....I may have a chance!
but what it is I just can't pin point yet.....
what is your interest??....and how did you come about defining it?
oh and by the way how do you calculate the speed of water vs the surface area??? comparing it to the slope??.....ie the variations of a canopy hood
The plumbing engineer usually calculates the amount of water/slope/speed on a roof/horizontal surface as a way to determine the appropriate size of the drain and rain leader. You might want to take a look at some plumbing engineering books if you really want to find out the answer to your last question, shay.
