Hello, I am a senior at a private English-speaking high school in Japan. I was directed by archsoc.com to ask the denizens of this forum for advice (the author of the site seems to be full of humorous angst). Hopefully, I'm not naively snooping around and making a fool out of myself.. please forgive me if I seem to be so.
Before I go on, let me clarify the fact that I'm Korean, though I consider English to be my strongest language (it's the only language in which I can academically perform , to be honest).
Where should I go to get my architectural education? I am planning to apply to universities in both Korea and the US, but for the US, where should I apply to? The rankings on DesignIntelligence aren't much of a help because of their schools have relatively high tuition fees for international applicants, and it seems as if they're top notch 'brand' schools, as in it seems like they're there because of their superficial prestige. In terms of cost effectiveness and educational worth, where would be the best place in the US? Does this depend on what I'm interested in building? Because I've not really decided on anything like that yet, just that my focus is going to be architectural.
I think if you want to get more helpful feedback, you should be more specific about what kind of school you want in terms of academic philosophy, setting, culture, etc... you can't expect the answer to just fall in your lap.
Where to go for my undergraduate education?

Thanks!
in terms of "cost effectiveness", forget architecture school and go to butler school instead.
So it's relatively high everywhere? What would be the average cost?
$30,000?
