Brake shape or break shape?

Current office banter: is it "brake shape" or "break shape"?

Typical argument for each side:
- "Brake shape" because it's the shape made by a brake.
- "Break shape" because the shape of the metal has been broken.

Can anyone give us a definitive answer?

Type the words "Brake & Metal" into that little text box below the Google icon. Then use the mouse to hit that button that says "Google Search".
