I was wondering if anyone has heard of any Programs offering Master's Degrees in Renewable Energy or Something related.
I feel like this is going to be a ever growing market in the near future (at least for my lifetime) and kind of want to get in at the start a.k.a. right now. I have a pre-professional degree in Architecture and want to go back to school to get my M. Arch and hopefully some other kind of degree which can be my barganing chip.
Anyone heard or seen anything regarding something like this?
There are a few directions that you can pursue to learn more about renewable energy.
If you want to stay in the world of designing buildings and something, then look into MS in building science/sustainable architecture degrees like those offered by USC, UWash, U Oregon, UMN, and several other excellent programs. A good way to identify these programs is through the solar decathlon - most of the schools that do well would be a strong choice for you.
-or-
get a degree in mechanical engineer or civil engineering in a department that focuses on renewable energy (most large universities).
There are opportunities to get a dual degree, you just have to ask.
UMass Amherst has a Professional Masters in Green Building through their Building and Construction Technology department, the program has good integration with the M. Arch.
