I'm considering moving back to Southern California to help out my mom get things figured out financially with her home and business.....but i'd be leaving a paying intern job to do it.
I hear California is in terrible economic status right now. I'm not sure if I'm more of a help staying where I am or coming back, only not to be able to take care of my own financial responsibilities?
I see things going on on the job section, some stuff on craigslist, but i can't imagine how many people are still without jobs, and not getting an interview for the posted ones.
LA or somewhere else, this really isn't the market to quit a job on the hopes of finding a job in another city. I think just about every market, and Los Angeles specifically, is still suffering from large quantities of unemployed work and not enough jobs.
The landscape arch job boards have been showing comparitively a lot of activity in southern cal relative to the rest of the nation, especially where I am in Denver.
I'm not sure how that's possible given all the airplay californias been getting on the nightly news with the economic devastation there and all.
FWIW, the jobs Ive seen come up in landscape there have been mid-upper level mostly.
What's the job market like in LA for an Arch. Intern???
