Hello all,

I have asked around, through friends of friends, and have come up empty handed. Someone recomended posting here (sorry to admit I didnt think of it!)

I will be traveling through South America (itinerary to be finalized) and was wondering where I should go? What i have to see? Historical stuff aside, I'm interested in finding contemporary/modern work and have found that the usual searching on the internet or even finding good books that survey Peru or Chile or Columbia are hard to come by.

any ideas?

Also, for those of you who have been there - any good/bad hostels to stay at/avoid?
