I have a general question about the placement of my resume for MArch apps coming up. I have seen some people integrate their resume inside of their portfolios, I liked the idea but was wondering more about it. If I was to do that should I also submit a paper copy (or digital depending on application requirements), or will it being in the portfolio suffice?
Basically I just want to make sure that they do not miss anything in my application. I'm not sure of the review process itself, so I would love some input.
I was actually thinking over the same thing as well. At present I am going to include a resume in my portfolio, and also include one separate assuming the school asks for one to be submitted (which I think most of them do).
Better to be safe then sorry, and besides you never know where certain pieces of information are going, different admissions reviewers, etc...
YES to rice/scented paper and cheesy clip art! who doesn't love some levity in the portfolio! you could also bind it in and use it as a kind of intro/splash page to your professional experience.

good luck
you could have fun with it and plot it on watermarked 'resume' paper and have it as a very formal 'insert'
duuhhhhrrr
you think so? how would you insert it?
for now, im thinking on the back of portfolio (back inside cover?) + as a separate sheet.
then again, there is always the rice/scented paper with some nice ms clip art
