I'm on the job market, with 5 years professional experience post graduate school. However, currently on my resume I have experience from my summer jobs that I worked while in school listed as well (with dates indicating they were summer jobs).
Some are quite prestigious jobs and projects that I am proud to include, but does it look like I am trying to pad my resume by listing more than the 3 firms I worked for after grad school?
I would like to keep them, since any connections that spark and interest might help, but does it look disingenuous? and after how long do you stop including summer experience?
maybe make a section for internships and list the firms there, with one or major projects indicated?
you earned the positions after all, so should include them esp if they are relevant to what you are applying for now...and many names do spark interest, regardless of how long you were there.
ive seen people listing school awards and random little things they won on their resumes for ages after graduating...when really the time spent at offices is more useful for potential employers to see....just my two cents.
if its your only relevant experience then absolutely, over time the less worthy work experiences will not rank as high or even fall off the resume..... at least I would hope they do.
