Ok, so I am currently a senior in highschool and intend to enroll in a B.Arch program for the 2010 fall semester. I have applied to 3 colleges, each of which is accredited by the NAAB. These three schools are Virginia Tech, the University of Oregon, and Iowa State University. I am leaning away from Iowa, but am on the fence between Virginia Tech and UO. Based on your opinions which university has a better program and will lend to my success as an architect? I understand that there are many variables involved in a choice like this, but I just want to hear opinions of people who have been through college and can give me an idea, thanks.
I concur with Justin. You must determine the criteria by which you select a program and judge each against your criteria.
In addition to contacting and visiting each school consider asking for the names of current students and recent alums for their thoughts and insights on the program.
Also, the book Becoming an Architect has an excellent chapter on selecting a program (available from Amazon).

Talk to each, and schedule a visit, if possible. Then you can evaluate which one is best for you and your particular interests.
