I am a gradute of International Business and Japanese studies. Moved to Los Angeles for new opportunities. Upon trying to "figure out" what I want to do with my life, Ive become interested in architecture/landscape architecture. I've begun courses in drawing. We should all do what we love and recently I feel more of a pull towards drawing/painting. Now Im thinking of pursuing a Fine Arts Degree.
For those of you who are architects, what course of action has led you to pursue your career? Did anyone start with a degree in arts before Architecture? What do you fee is the status of the architecutre/landscaping industry? Booming? Stagnate? Soon to rise?
I am a 26 year old and with a world of opportunity and direction in front of me. I do feel that continuing higher education is important for at this moment.
UCLA offers a great program for obtaining certification in Landscape Architecture. What is your take on Certification vs Masters Degree?
While receiving advice from a friend, she mentioned making a "Power Move! Just go for it!" I dont want to step off a cliff, but is it really that easy?
