The Tate also has some podcasts via itunes - lectures from people such as Peter Markli, Jacques Herzog, David Adjaye etc. Its called Tate Talks - 85% art, 15% architecture.
ballyhoo- i was at the sagmeister one, too! it was when i was visiting GSAPP... made me fall in love with a place that can be so high-brow but also laugh at itself a little bit. What was that line? "Frank Gehry is definitely not cool."
GSAPP lectures available iTunes
For anyone interested, movies of GSAPP lectures can now be downloaded at the iTunes store.
thanks
Wow, a ton of them! Any that you (or anyone else) especially recommend?
i dun use ipod/iphone, any utube?? :(
i recommend eisenman/wigley from the summer. they talk about colbert and stewart.
casey reas' talk from september is also a good one. he created the processing environment.
stefan sagmeister's talk is also entertaining. it's not up yet, so should probably be forthcoming.
they haven't uploaded the metals and ecology conferences yet either. lots of great speakers, many unfortunately i missed...
thank you
Thanks! I gravitated straight to the Bernard Tschumi one, talking about the acropolis museum.
@aspect - you don't need ipod or iphone, just need itunes to play them on your computer (can either stream or permanently download to hd).
thanks for the tip. i just watched the tschumi lecture too. it's a goodie!
thanks zoroaster!!
Glad to help aspect!
@ballyhoo - I've downloaded about a dozen lectures now, hehe.. like a kid in a candy store. :)
i really enjoyed the eisenman/wigley debate. i thought wigley had some excellent points.

haha, yeah! "frank gehry is not cool; he's just... not."
also, that anecdote about the sea cow with the boner...? kinda want to watch that bit again.
zoroaster, i agree. it's such a treat to be able to watch these things if you missed out on the actual event.
