In AutoCAD 2009, my classmate has a question about the ucs function in autocad. This file is an external reference of other CAD file. Someone set the world ucs to a certain angle to the cursor. How could we make the cursor parallel to the world ucs? Thank you so much.
type in "ucs", 3p and then click on where you want x,y,z the 3 points, first clicking where you want "0" to be, then where you want "x" to be then "y". THEN type "plan". so you are basically manually telling the ucs where you want the axis to be....if that makes sense. it will work.
AUTOCAD cursor & UCS problem
Hi all
In AutoCAD 2009, my classmate has a question about the ucs function in autocad. This file is an external reference of other CAD file. Someone set the world ucs to a certain angle to the cursor. How could we make the cursor parallel to the world ucs? Thank you so much.
type 'plan' and it will align. this works with other versions of autocad as well.
thanks, but have tried already, plan doesn't seem to work.
i hate when people screw around with the ucs, unless it's 3d, i typically use snapang to change angle of cursor...
<ucsfollow> system variable. set it to 1 i think. you might have to choosse an object to align it with...
type in "ucs", 3p and then click on where you want x,y,z the 3 points, first clicking where you want "0" to be, then where you want "x" to be then "y". THEN type "plan". so you are basically manually telling the ucs where you want the axis to be....if that makes sense. it will work.
try 'snapang' this command rotates the crosshairs independently of the UCS
