Hi,
I'm trying to do some research in Milan and need some help with basic construction/development data. Around 2004, the city announced plans to build basically a "new city" at the old Lombardi/Milan Fair grounds. The boom included new towers and massive architectural interventions by Libeskind, Hadid, Isozaki, Pelli, etc. What happened to all this development....was it realized? Or....did it become another example of postponed urbanism in a downward spiraling economy?
Is there a Milan-based architect in the house available for a chat?
there's Fuksas' Fiera Milano, and some towers by (i think) Dominique Perrault. Aside from that it seems stalled. But I dont really know the whole story.
What happened to Milan?

They should build a beautiful sustainable tower with all the dog and pigeon shit they could harvest from the streets.
