Unique house conversions

titoqan

I am looking for examples of buildings/structures that have been converted into housing. Such as grain silos, or water tanks or I don't know... what have you seen.

I remember reading an article about a huge concrete public water tank that was converted into a residential house. it had some cool pictures of before and after.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Decommissioned North American nuclear missile silos are available for sale, although I've yet to see anyone use one as the basis for a decent architectural project.

Although on a side note, this guy William Leonard Pickard had an interesting project going on inside one.
