UK Part 3 Courses - Any Suggestions?

woodface

I graduated the AA diploma course this year, and I'd like to get fully qualified as soon as possible. I've got a job which I think will give me some good experience, and now I'm thinking about which Part 3 course to take.

My initial default reaction was to go back to the AA, but I've heard that the Part 3 course is pretty expensive... consultations with the tutor are on a 1-1 basis, and are charged separately than the main course.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? What makes a good Part 3 course?

Try the Barlett course. very thorough and not nearly as expensive as AA. also, more passes.

I am just starting part II, do you have to do a part III course?

Thanks for the response. I talked to a colleague at work who did his part II at the Bartlett, but went to the University of Central England (now Birmingham City University) for his part III. He said it was a good experience, but no better than his friends who went to the Bartlett. Though he added that the Bartlett has a tough reputation on its part III course.

The RIBA have a pdf guide online:

There seems to be a massive difference in fees. Leeds charge £800 for non-EU students, while Kingston charge over £5000!

I'm in London, so Leeds is probably out of the question, but I'm a little fearful of how much other London schools will charge for non-EU fees.

I'll post here when I find out.
