MSRE programs in Chicago area?

dynamo

I am thinking about applying for a MA in Real Estate, but not sure which school to go with: UIC, DePaul, Roosevelt or Northwestern.

UIC and DePaul seem to be putting most emphasis on finance/economics. I certainly want to lean that, but I am also interested in development classes per se which would teach me about the development process itself, different development types, construction management, etc.

The course offering at Roosevelt University seems to appeal to me the most (plus affordable cost), but I am concerned about its reputation or lack thereof.

Then there is Northwestern, but they only offer RE as an MBA concentration. That's a long route so to speak.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What is the advantage of an M.A. in Real Estate over an MBA?

MA in Real Estate is more specific to real estate and gives you a more concentrated knowledge so to speak, while an MBA teaches you many general business courses that would be an overkill if you just want to do real estate.

There has been a number of posts about this subject.
