Concrete Industry Management

archroma

I was just wondering if anyong knew anything about the CIM degree available at :

California State University, Chico
Arizona State University
Middle Tennessee State University
New Jersey Institute of Technology

I am doing my undergrad at a school that does not have architecture. I was going to be doing a special major that had BIM courses along with physics for grad school prep and studio art for portfolio. But the program was axed due to budget cuts. I found out the day before yesterday and school starts monday. Not alot of time to totally change my course of study.

I could graduate very quickly if I did philosophy or English but I am concerned about employability since I don't know how long it will be before I can head to grad school. That leaves either Concrete Industry Management or Construction Management. I am not excited about the CM courses but my advisor (who is an architect) says that CM would be better for architecture. I am still waiting to hear from the coordinator of the CIM degree but she has a PhD in arch, and various other degrees in l.arch and historic preservation. The CIM program says that internships can pay from 2-3 grand a month plus give credits to graduating but its the University catalog and I don't know how accurate that figure its. Especially in this economy.

Any imput?
Thanks in advance.

never heard of a degree in concrete industry management.

Calination to incipient fusion is all I know about concrete.

I think that a CM degree is more flexible.

That is unless you want to run a concrete company.

concrete is a very useful trade in the building industry. I just hope that they teach you what you can so with molasses.
