I am aware that in New York one can start taking the ARE before they finish their IDP. This is an advantage for people who do not immediately find a job in the field but have an ongoing IDP record from their previous internships. Now the question is, if someone finishes all the exams but they are still unable to finish IDP, how long do they have to finish IDP? is their an expiration date of sorts for ARE results?
I am currently in this situation (I have a job, but haven't yet finished IDP). As long as you have an active NCARB record, it doesn't matter how long you take to finish it...
If you have taken all your exams before the 5 year rolling clock is up (5 years from the first time you take the first exam), there is no expiration for the exams.
