I recall that a part of the late revival of interest in his work -- a nice end-of-life payoff for a long career -- included his apparently well-deserved pride in a filing system that allowed him to put his hands on any of his work immediately and effortlessly. I can't say what that system was. . .

just broke the sad news. The master of architectural photography was 98.
a life well lived, by all accounts i've read/heard. congrats on that, mr shulman! we celebrate that you shared so much with us.

Just saw 'Visual Acoustics' - a great tribute..
He was quite a personality; my favorite is him saying he wanted to retire after the emergence of Post Modernism because it was so ugly...
