a local architect whose office designed the new county courthouse building was just sentenced to one year in prison for embezzlement, along with some other politicians, by having inflated change orders and pocketing the cash.
unfortunately, his trial was in district court, which is another building. oh so close though....

Great, though sad, story, el jeffe. Why are people such jerks?! He'll potentially lose his license because of this, right? (I have to fill out that form every year when I renew my license "Have you been convicted of a felony in the last two years? etc.)
In another sad story, my new Toto Aquia toilet (main bathroom) is not even close to flawless at handling skid marks, like my old Toto Drake (powder room) is.

he gave up his license as part of a plea deal to name names.
"who does number two work for?!"
he's still a principal in the firm, though they moved their office and changed the firm name. wouldn't that be an oddly uncomfortable office 'going away' party?
