thanks everyone. is Revit good at video making? I don't really need material and lighting, I've built rough models out of Revit and tried the "walk thru" function, but I guess because the file is too big, frames ovrelap doesn't run smoothly...
Try running it through virtual dub. I've compressed some of my revit animations from 160m to 50m and lost minimal quality. That will help your animation run smoother. It's free and easy to use.
making digital model fly thru videos, what software to use?

rhino. for simple stuff you can animate the camera, bongo not required.

there's like a million tutorials on doing it with 3ds max if you want it to be prettier than rhino.
3D Studio for the really pretty ones
