Portfolio question

joben

I feel like this question has probably been asked before but I wanted to apply to an MArch program for fall 2010. I was wondering what I was allowed to put in the portfolio? can I use pictures I have created from adobe illustrator/photoshop/indesign? are photos smarter to put in? should I focus on hand drawings?

All of the above. If you're applying to an MArch program from a non-architecture or non-professional architecture degree background, you should put in a variety of whatever different types of work best show your abilities. I think the quality of the work you put in is more important than the exact type, so I would leave a certain type/subject/medium out if it's not your best area.

I concur, make sure you are not just trying to fill space. I see a lot of mediocre photoshop/illustrator projects in portfolios. If you are really good at hand drawing, everybody respects it but nobody expects it.
