I am working with a group of students at PennDesign to preparea publication in conjuction with a conference we held this past April. The publication should be ready for print and available for purchase in the next few weeks. Can anyone recommend a list of student or other design journalism awards we can apply for?
The 'pacemaker' is generally the highest honor for students but be forewarned... print and journalism design competitions are not exactly about design.
There's also the SND (society for news design) award, SSPJ (Student Society of Professional Journalist), ACP (Associated Collegiate Press) SPJ (Society of Professional Journalist), The Chronicle of Higher Education has a similar award and check your local state magazine (in Florida ours is called Florida Leader and Florida Monthly-- they do a best of list for different categories).
I've won every award except SND.

If it were landscape you could enter for a 'research and communication' award via ASLA, not sure if the AIA has something similar.
