So now after all this time applying to grad schools and waiting then being put on waitlists to only wait some more....I finally got an acceptance to Stadelschule in Germany!!!! and I'm super excited but now reality is fading in. I don't know anything about Struttgard, and never been to Germany....and I'm still on a waitlist for Pratt and Parsons....and thats where I thought I was headed.
New York is a city I know and always wanted to live in, but Stadelshule is my ideal school.
It would be great to get some informed opinons on what to do.
i can't believe you applied and got in but have no clue how to spell the name of the school and don't know what city it's in.
in any case, congratulations. it's a great place. get yourself a little better informed, and get excited! frankfurt is a decent little city, and this is a wonderful opportunity. good luck!
^ That's what I was under the impression of as well.
Also, anyone have any real knowledge of the city itself? I know I quite enjoyed my afternoon there, but most Germans I talk to have little good to say about the place.... Then again, they don't have much good to say about any city other than Berlin or Munich, and I quite like it here in Stuttgart, so who knows.

well, how expensive is rent in frankfurt?? I'm comparing this to New York....
...but I have a bigger concern now, staedelschule's masters is accedited in germany but I'm worried that if I decide to practice in Canada or the US I won't be able to get accredited by the Naab or Cabc. I was never really determined to get my stamp but who knows what I will want in two years. I'm stuck with making a decision and not sure what to do. It's amazing program but ....
in frankfurt they have good hochhäuser, apfelwein, döner, discos. also because of the airport its one of the most international cities in germany so theres lots of nongerman food and people.

any suggestions would be helpful...
frankfurt is almost certainly cheaper than new york.
it's a small city, rather finance oriented, but its still quite nice with a lot of students and a lot going on...
Here's all you need to know about Frankfurt:
1. rent a fast car (not from the big rental companies)
2. drive on over to nürburgring nordschleife
3. fill up on petrol and pump up the tires
that's it.
you can live very cheaply in frankfurt.
