Attn anyone in Philadelphia

gonad

I'm trying to get my hands on a cad plan or even some sanborn type maps of center city in preparation for my thesis next semester. Should I try talking to someone from the city planning commision? Any advice would be appreciated!

you can get sanborn maps from the library... i know that upenn has hard copies and you can get digital by logging in through the library website... this should be true at other schools too, if you're not a penn student... also, try phillyhistory which should have some maps and lots of historic photos... you can also get some maps through the city, although some of the services require subscriptions...

gonadsxe:

Philadelphia CityMaps directs you to the Pennsylvania Spatial Data Access (PASDA) website for mapping info. The direct link is below. They provide GIS files for different layers of information - you can download the ones you need. I assume you have access to GIS software and know how to convert the files from GIS into CAD…
