summer lessons

A list for the students that seem eager to make the use of their summer vacation beyond the endless partying and sleepless nights (surprisingly).

Let's put together a power house list of things to do to improve our architectural self

I'll start the ball rolling

1. visit your state's or country's 4th largest city/town and create a visual study of it.

Draw every day. With a sketchbook, go out into the world and find something to draw. Draw it both prettily and analytically.

I've got a downspout that needs to be replaced ;o)

Sketch, take phtographs, visit places and take a good long look at buildings and their surroundings.

from puddles (our local island gnome)

are students actually asking for suggestions about what to do with their summer vacations? because if not, then that here just looks presumptuous & retarded.

of course, i'd probably suggest that they try inventing new drinks. if there is something more sublimely divine than merlotch out there then the world needs to know about this.
